181st Semi-Annual General Conference Weekend!




Wow, what a great conference weekend! The few talks I really LOVED were Sister Daltons on how a father can raise his daughter and that is by loving his wife! It was so great to hear the tips and advice she had and I hope my future husband was listening real good to that one! Another one was the Australian or British guy (couldn't tell what accent) and I liked how he said we need to be the Master over our distractions and not let them master us. I needed to hear that bad because I tend to let Facebok, pintrest, and blogger master my agenda. Then of course President Monson is the greatest! His stories and counsel are always so relevant to what is going on and what needs to be heard. That just testifies that he is a True Prophet of God! On top of all the spiritual highness Saturday I deep cleaned my room and got rid of a bunch of stuffed animals and planned on how Im going to redecorate my room! I'm, excited to get started... when I have time! Then I went to the ASU Football game against the Oregon State Beavers with the Skousen's and we WON! Go Devils! It was way fun and we had the choice of sitting on the 50 yard line row 31 or in the Loge where there is free food and drinks! So we had the best of both worlds and just got the free food and drinks at half time :)  
Sunday after dinner we wathced The Best Two Years and I CRAFTED! First time in a LONG time. Pintrest has motivated me to be more crafty. But I brought home a bunch of Seashells from Hawaii and I was planning on decorating a picture frame with them and having Hawaii Pictures in it. So I finally got around to it! I love it a lot and it was so easy & fun to dooo.

September First Camping Trip with Myla

  Started out with Labor Day and Lucas had it off so Micah joined us on a bike ride. We we’re still watching the Millett’s so we had Jane sleep over so she could watch Myla while we rode. Then we had breakfast and hung out there and then had all the cousins over for a swim party to celebrate Alli & Jacobs birthday. Myla started developing a rash around her eyes and mouth that seems to be caused from heat. It flares up in the car and after naps. So hopefully it will go away soon. We had Sunday dinner with my family and the boys had fun laughing Myla around In a box. This week I filmed Traci Beagley and her breast cancer journey and it was very powerful and I’m glad I was able to be apart of bringing awareness to so many. Now What?

This past month has been different and not quite what I was expecting. This whole semester I had been working hard for ADI and with the hope that they would hire me on after the internship was over. They had been telling me multiple times that they love me and are trying to get a position open to keep me here for good. Having that said I was kind of banking of getting hired post graduation. Well a couple weeks ago Sue took me to lunch to inform me that they actually do not have a position available because Hotel Site Select has not taken off as fast as they were hoping and they will not have the money to pay me. I was pretty upset and sad because I really LOVE this business, and the other employees are so good to me, and I was already making my future plans to be with them. That lunch meeting was not the happiest, and I was pretty down the next week or so. October Beginning of Holidays

First day of the month and we had the Bodine ladies over for sister lunch which was really refreshing since we had been home all week not feeling good. It was a good time like always, I’m glad to have them as my sister in laws! Friday we did pickleball with the Skousen’s, Packard’s, and Standage’s for date night and it was super fun to be active and have a group date night! Saturday I had a Romanian Pentecostal wedding that was from 8:30am-7:30pm. It was looong but fairly easy since there is a lot of driving to different locations. It was also conference so I listened to a little bit during the drives. Sunday we started potty training... again. We woke up and “threw” the diapers away and made Myla say goodbye to them and she gladly did. Then we put on underwear and told her to tell us every time she has to go.
