Journey to Belfast

Wednesday morning we woke up to move the car again and good news, it started!! Haha then went back to sleep until 9:00am. We checked out of our Airbnb at 10:00 and headed to Carlingford to eat and then take a more coastal route to Belfast. We took a couple detours in the mountains and saw shepherds walking their sheep it was the cutest thing ever! The houses up in the countryside were absolutely beautiful as well. We were glad we ended up on these unpaved roads. After exploring Carlingford for a little we headed up to Belfast. We checked in with Viv our AirBnB host and she was sooo lovely. She was born in the Sea Shell islands which is in the Indian Ocean off the coast of Africa, but grew up in Manchester England, and has been in Ireland for the past 15 years. She asked if we wanted to go see the castle and if so she would come with us, so we went on a journey to see the Belfast Castle and it has the most amazing view and it's actually a venue now where people have their wedding at. Lucas you down for switching our reception venue?! ;P We played around pretending we were queens going to the ball, it was good fun.
Viv then directed us to the Queens University and told us some other things we could check out for the night but she was going to play board games with her crew. We checked out Queens University and got the cheerleaders to say, "Welcome to Belfast Girls" for our video! Then walked around the botanical gardens, then got some food at a Pub, then walked around the city centre admiring the buildings! We met up with Viv again and she offered to buy us bread and PB & Jelly so we could make sandwiches for our lunch the next day. Isn't that the sweetest? We ran to the grocery store and we got caught up in the candy isle... Surprise surprise. Then we were on our way back to Viv's and she claimed she had the best shower so I wanted to see if that was true and it was pretty dang nice. But I think a hot shower anywhere would be nice after being out in the cold all day. I actually forgot to bring my towel into the bathroom.. Awkward. I was hoping Kylee and Haley would hear me asking for them to bring me my towel and not Viv and luckily they did! That night we made a bunch of face swap videos which got the giggles going and we were pretty slap happy for the night but it made for good memories! We learned that my face only looks good on my head, I look like an old lady on everyone else's heads. Cheers
