March Start of Quarantine
Monday Myla spent the morning at the Klein’s and had never seen pantie before and thought it was a headband. Myla is also realized what her favorite color is and that’s yellow. The rest of the week was pretty normal with parks, chores, gym, hanging out.
Friday we had a wedding at El Chorro and the bride was a big diva but the venue and decor was gorgeous! Saturday we helped Nanna and papa pack up a lot of their house and Nanna is having a hard time with it. Monday I had the Klein’s over and we went to the park.
Tuesday I took Myla to this kids yoga and she didn’t last very long.
Then that night my mom Kate and I went to Evora to make our own ring! It was a fun experience but I wouldn’t do it again. Wednesday we went to the temple and also the day that president Trump put a ban on flights coming in from Europe because of the coronavirus. The crazy thing is Kasey and Tyler were on a plane to England when announced that. We all just felt sick for them knowing they would have to come home sooner than planned. Then Butch and Delynn dad got a phone call while they were on their way to pick up the Klein’s from the bus station that they had 72 hours to pack up their belongings because they were going to be sent home due to the virus. There were many tears from both of them because they were so excited to spend time with Kasey and Tyler and now they would have to go home. So we got told first since that meant they were coming back to their house where we lived. We did a family soon call and everyone was shocked but we decided that mom and dad would go to Micah’s for the 2 week quarantine that they would have to do, and then come over here. Kind of crazy but that was the plan.
Thursday all the cousins went to the idea museum, and Friday we went to the zoo, and then we went out to celebrate Nanna & Papa’s anniversary.
Saturday the 14th was get Micah’s house ready for mom and dad day. His house was reaaaalllyyy bad. Whitney tackles the guest bathroom which took 3 hours and some caulking to cover up the mold that was growing on it. Stephanie and Kelli did Micah’s bathroom which was nasty as well, and I did the kitchen which looked like it had never been cleaned. Then Lucas got the bed set and nightstands over and the house was in okay shape now and acceptable for mom and dad to live in. Micah owes us girls big time. After cleaning I rushed to Andreas baby shower and it was fun to see her. Then went back to Micah’s to decorate the inside with welcome home signs the Bodine kids made, then Lucas went to the airport to greet them. They were happy to be here but sad they weren’t allowed to be close to family.
Sunday March 15th was our first at home church since church was cancelled as well until it’s safe from the virus. We did it at my parents house with everyone and it was really special to be able to hold a small sacrament meeting in the home.
Schools announced that they wouldn’t open until end of March so I was excited to have some more cousin time for 2 weeks.
Monday we went on a hike by the river with the Kolstad’s and enjoyed the water afterwards. Tuesday we went to the zoo with the Millett’s, then that afternoon did some more unpacking for my parents and had corn beef and cabbage for St. Patrick’s Day. The 18th But h and Delynn drove by the house and that was mine and Mylas first time seeing them. We couldn’t hug them or anything just talk through the car window. The next day we got the studio at my parents house officially ready for Juliette to move into. Friday the 20th we went on a hike with Whitney and Will and did butcher Jones. Myla loves her hiking backpack. That night we also did our first virtual game night with friends and did it through the Psych app and it was a lot of fun to have some socializing via phone. Saturday we helped more at my parents house and hung out.
Sunday we did breakfast & Church at the Kolstad’s and Whitney did a great singing time that Myla loved. We went to my parents house for dinner and also played pickleball.
Monday the 23rd Lucas started his last clinical rotation at a Skilled Nursing Home that is 10 minutes away! His work schedule is 7am-2pm and it is sooo nice having him home earlier. Today was also the day that AZ started shutting down more businesses because of Covid-19 and is recommending social distancing and staying home. Hoping it will only last for 2 weeks to slow the spread. Tuesday we spent the morning playing in the hose and Myla couldn’t get enough of it, so I can’t wait for her to discover the pool. That night Myla wanted to sing the Bunny Sleeping song over and over again so we did that for a while and then she got so excited during the hopping part she banged her chin on the crib and it was really funny! Also that night Marcie and I went to Grandma Ann’s house and did a karaoke session from our car to Ain’t No Mountain High Enough. She was totally surprised and it made her day! Wednesday we busted out the paint to make some homemade cards for Myla’s friends to mail to them since we not supposed to hang out because of the virus. We also made 2 birthday cards for Lucas’ birthday with her hand prints.
She looooved being covered in the paint and thought it was so fun! Then that night the Kleins came over to watch the Highland teachers drive by parade which was cute to see all the posters and teachers! Then after that Kelli her girls Whitney and I went to do another car karaoke for Mom to the song All by Myself and the neighbors were all outside watching it was kind of embarrassing but really fun! Definitely brighten moms day. Next day we had Lennon over for a play date and I rode the tandem bike with both girls in the trailer to drop off something at a friends house that was 2.5 miles away. It was a good workout. That night the missionaries gave us a lesson over FaceTime. Next day Bromley came over to do some editing for me and Myla and I just hung around the house. Saturday the 28th we started packing up our stuff that we didn’t need and moving Myla stuff over to the front room since Butch and Delynn were moving in Friday. I made a German Chocolate cake for Lucas birthday tomorrow and then I also got a surprise gift and Delynn got me my own beach cruiser. Its aqua blue and super nice! I am excited I have a bike to ride now instead of the tandem by myself. That night we went over to Micah’s to eat dinner with him Mom and Dad since their quarantine is over now. It was so great to finally hug them and be in close proximity. Myla was pretty shy since she didn’t know them very well but soon after she opened up well to Delynn. Sunday was Lucas birthday and all month long I had a surprise everyday for him so I was glad the birthday month was over because it was a lot of work to come up with 29 activities, gifts, or services to give him. Some of them got cancelled because of Covid-19 too. So on Sunday we had church with my family which was good and then Lucas got an AppleTV from my parents.
Then we had the Kolstads and Butch & Delynn over for Dinner and had some of the best Ribs I have ever had. Butch then drew a work coming out of an apple on Myla’s belly which was fun for her. Monday Myla and I had fun painting and making cards for her friends to mail since we can’t hang out right now. Myla loved painting all over body so it was mostly me making the cards. That night we went over to my parents house to celebrate Trennon and Lucas birthday with dinner and pickle ball. Tuesday was the last day of the month and we took Lucas’ pictures in his graduation robe since his graduation is cancelled and he won’t be needing to dress up for it now. Also today was supposed to be the end of the Nationwide lockdown but they said it needs to go for another 15 days. :( Just when we thought March was rough, April is going to be even worse.
