June- Cabin + D-Backs

Myla is 11 month old and its so crazy that we will almost have a 1 year old! She is SOO much fun and I love how exciting everything is to her. Our life is so much better because of her.

Started out this month with going up north to Alex & Christian Schmid’s cabin with the Packard’s and Barney’s. Their cabin is up in forest lakes so we got there around 10:00am and played corn hole, kubb, bocce ball, relaxes in the Hammock, and enjoyed being up in the nice weather. Then that night we played hand and foot and another card game.
Sunday we went to church ate lunch and drove home. It was a quick trip but still very fun. Oh and Bromley and Kennedy finally got engaged!  He proposed down in Rocky Point on their friend trip. So excited to have her join the family. This month is crunch time for getting lots of editing done before our 2 week trip next month. So I did a lot of babysitting swaps and dropped Myla off at cousins houses. We had Afton over for an hour on Monday so she could spend uninterrupted time with Myla. I love how much she loves her. Myla learned how to say Echo and it was pretty adorable. She is getting a lot more confident in waking already too! June 5th we had a Bbq/pool party with Lucas’ classmates to celebrate before they all spread out for clinicals.
June 7th we went to Eric’s play of Mama Mia. He did great as always and was so excited to us. When we got home I went with Kasey, Whitney and the Millett girls to TP Micah’s house. This was their first TP experience and it was pretty funny. Jane got the giggles, and Kasey and I threw a whole roll up in the tree without it unraveling and Sage and Faith were pretty good at it. But they didn’t want to do it to any boys their age. We gave them a hard time about that. The following week was busy with filming the Time To Blossom Conference. It was a lot of work but it will help out a lot financially since this is slow season for weddings. Then I have to get the majority of it all edited before I go on my trip so it was a busy 2 weeks of late nights and early mornings of editing.
June 13th Kennedy went dress shopping and her dress is stunning! Can’t wait for Bromley to see her in it! The next day we went to sunsplash with the Packard’s  to use up that turn on our pogo pass and had a great time because we got to walk on pretty much every slide. So we took turns watching each other’s kids so we could do that. Then we got Costa Vida afterwards. Next day was Brooklyn Sneed’s first birthday party so that was fun hanging out with everyone.
Sunday was Lucas’ first Father’s Day! I made him breakfast and got him some small things. We also have had Tyler & Stephanie’s dog the past few days and will have her for 10 days total and Myla has loved playing with her and I have loved having her eat all the food Myla spills on the ground. Following week Myla’s ear started to smell bad and she was always digging in it so Megynn Who is a PA said she could have a foreign object in her ear but that’s kind of rare but to get it checked out. Turns out she just had a lot of earwax built up. But they flushed it all out and she cried for a bit but it wasn’t too bad.
June 20th we took Myla to her first Dbacks game! It was a day game so right after she woke up from her nap we headed to it and met Trennon’s and Cari Anne there. She loved all the action and people and did really well. The next day I had a LDS wedding that was pretty boring. Then the next day we went up to Forest Lakes to film a traditional wedding and everything went great except the toasts the DJ’s speakers were not getting a good signal and it was static and cutting in and out so I was panicking and went and put my phone audio recorder in the dads pocket before he went up to hopefully get one good speech out of it. Gah it was so stressful.
That Sunday we had Dillion, Ashley and their kids over for dinner before they leave for Utah. We went to another baseball game on Monday with my family and the Packard’s. TJ caught a foul ball so that made it all more exciting! We also sat next to brother Crockett, Nelson, Reynolds, and President Enos and that was fun to catch up with them! The 27th we went over to the Packard’s so Audrey could teach me again how to cut Lucas’ hair and it’s still really hard for me to do anything but just the razor all around. Scissors are hard but he has a nice haircut right now for our trip! We packed and got everything ready for our trip and Lucas’ took his practice boards test on the 28th that he had been studying for all month long and didn’t pass it. He was pretty bummed because now he has to take it again and pass it before next March. So that wasn’t the news we wanted but hopefully being on a Cruise and a week in California can cheer him up.

Myla got her first pair of big girl shoes from Nanna since she is walking more and she needed them for the cruise & California.
