PT School has BEGUN!


The first few weeks of July were busy unpacking and getting some things settled into our home. I had a few mission homecomings, & bridals but no weddings. Lucas started school July 17th and it is just as hard if not harder than what he expected. We also celebrated Grandma Whitmers birthday with a pool party. 

 I was here for the first week, then I took off to Oceanside, California with my family for the week. I drove up with Trennon and Cari Anne and the drive went by pretty fast. Abbey & David joined us as well this year and it was really fun to have them there and to get to know Abbey better, she is such a fun girl. The week consisted of pretty much, staying up late, playing games, sleepin in, and then playing on the beach. Tyler, Kasey & the girls were there this week too. It was so fun having them there to play and chat with and make memories. The Barlows & Terry came up for the weekend as well so we had a ton of people to play with at the beach. I missed Lucas a ton and wish he could of been there to party with us and I kind of felt bad leaving him.

My parents wanted me to stay another week, but I didn't want to be gone from Lucas another week, and we had tickets to the John Mayer concert the next week. So I drove home with the Kliens and the girls did pretty good and behaving in the car.

I talked with Kasey a lot and then we got caught in a Haboob on the way home but still made it home safe. I was SO excited to see Lucas we both really missed each other so it was nice to be back home and to hear all about his 2nd week of school. The following Tuesday we went to the John Mayer concert and it was INCREDIBLE! He is so so talented and his impromptu guitar jams were sick. Then that pretty much sums ups the rest of July.

September First Camping Trip with Myla

  Started out with Labor Day and Lucas had it off so Micah joined us on a bike ride. We we’re still watching the Millett’s so we had Jane sleep over so she could watch Myla while we rode. Then we had breakfast and hung out there and then had all the cousins over for a swim party to celebrate Alli & Jacobs birthday. Myla started developing a rash around her eyes and mouth that seems to be caused from heat. It flares up in the car and after naps. So hopefully it will go away soon. We had Sunday dinner with my family and the boys had fun laughing Myla around In a box. This week I filmed Traci Beagley and her breast cancer journey and it was very powerful and I’m glad I was able to be apart of bringing awareness to so many. Now What?

This past month has been different and not quite what I was expecting. This whole semester I had been working hard for ADI and with the hope that they would hire me on after the internship was over. They had been telling me multiple times that they love me and are trying to get a position open to keep me here for good. Having that said I was kind of banking of getting hired post graduation. Well a couple weeks ago Sue took me to lunch to inform me that they actually do not have a position available because Hotel Site Select has not taken off as fast as they were hoping and they will not have the money to pay me. I was pretty upset and sad because I really LOVE this business, and the other employees are so good to me, and I was already making my future plans to be with them. That lunch meeting was not the happiest, and I was pretty down the next week or so. October Beginning of Holidays

First day of the month and we had the Bodine ladies over for sister lunch which was really refreshing since we had been home all week not feeling good. It was a good time like always, I’m glad to have them as my sister in laws! Friday we did pickleball with the Skousen’s, Packard’s, and Standage’s for date night and it was super fun to be active and have a group date night! Saturday I had a Romanian Pentecostal wedding that was from 8:30am-7:30pm. It was looong but fairly easy since there is a lot of driving to different locations. It was also conference so I listened to a little bit during the drives. Sunday we started potty training... again. We woke up and “threw” the diapers away and made Myla say goodbye to them and she gladly did. Then we put on underwear and told her to tell us every time she has to go.
